Kort intervju med Nina från Comic Con 2012. Hon berättar bl.a hur hon reagerade när hon fick veta att Elena mötte Damon först (och inte Stefan).

What are you looking forward to this season for your character?
To go on the journey with her and sort of see how she deals with things, and it’s sad though. She never wanted this at all and now she has no choice. Not just for today, but forever. And she’s stuck with this lifestyle, but who knows. Everything happens for a reason, and maybe one day she’ll be really thankful and really happy that she gets to live through different eras and different times. Maybe she will leave all these boys behind and try to find a cure for cancer or make some good of it.

What kind of vampire do you see Elena becoming?
At first, sad and because all of your emotions are heightened she’s probably gonna be hormonal. Like you’re going through puberty in a way. She’s going to be completely upset at times and then happy at times. It’s a rollercoaster ride. Luckily the audience gets to watch and go on the ride with her.

Were you surprised when you found out that she met Damon first?I was. Oh my God. When I read that episode, I was like (shocked gasp) “No!”. And it almost made me love Damon more for not telling her. That was his act of selflessness as well. Just like Elena, he kind of did what she always wanted him to do and he didn’t just say that so she would choose him. He wanted her to choose him for who he was.
